In
einem kleinen Hotel-Pool des HYATT HOTELS ZIVA in Cancun in Mexiko
befinden sich sechs Delfine, die für Shows und für Schwimmprogramme
kommerziell ausgebeutet werden.
Die
Delfine haben kaum Platz zum Schwimmen und Tauchen. Die Delfine sind
ständigem Lärm ausgesetzt und haben fast nie Ruhe.
Das
Becken ist an seiner tiefsten Stelle nur vier Meter tief. Der Boden
des Beckens ist nicht zu erkennen, was auf eine schlechte
Wasser-Qualität zurückzuführen ist!
Die
Delfine sind verletzt! Die Meeressäuger müssen so schnell wie
möglich aus diesem kleinen Hotel-Pool gebracht werden, bevor sie
sterben!
Das
Hotel gehört der Kette HYATT, welches weltweit etwa 700 Hotels
betreibt.
Januar
2018 – Der Beckenboden war zu sehen und die Wasser-Qualität schien
besser zu sein. Die Delfine wiesen noch keine Verletzungen
auf!

Raubtiere sind, die gar in der Lage sind, Haie zu töten!
Große
Tümmler sind hochsoziale und intelligente Tiere. Sie leben
normalerweise in größeren Gruppen zusammen.
Die
Gefangenschaft ist für die Tiere psychischer und körperlicher
Stress. Durch die Gefangenschaft und der Isolation können Delfine
aggressiv und depressiv werden. Auch können sie Verhaltensstörungen
aufweisen und damit auch gefährlich für Menschen sein!
Die
Delfine können, wenn sie zum Beispiel in Panik geraten oder sich
unwohl oder bedroht fühlen, einen Menschen ernsthaft verletzen!
Obwohl
die Delfine oftmals mit Psychopharmaka ruhig gestellt werden, kam es
in anderen Delfinarien schon öfters zu Attacken auf Menschen, die
sich Rippenbrüche, Kratz- und Bisswunden zugezogen haben!

depressed. They can develop behavioral problems and thus be dangerous
for humans!

dolphins panic or feel unwell or threatened, they can seriously
injure a person!
Although
the dolphins are often sedated with psychotropic drugs, other
dolphinariums have documented several incidents were people have been
attacked resulting in broken ribs, scratches and bites!

meisten Delfinarien in Mexiko sind nicht auf die Zucht von Delfinen
ausgelegt. Sicher jedoch ist, dass die Tiere früher in eigenen
Gewässern gefangen wurden. Auch wurden früher wildgefangene Delfine
in Taiji/Japan und von den Salomonen-Inseln gekauft.
Die
Delfinarien in Mexiko sind für die Gefährdung freilebender
Delfin-Populationen mitverantwortlich!

geehrte Damen und Herren,
wir
sind eine Tier- und Umweltschutzorganisation in Deutschland und haben
im Juni 2019 katastrophale Haltungsbedingungen für sechs Delfine in
diesem Hotel dokumentiert.
Hiermit
stellen Strafanzeige gegen dieses Hotel wegen Tierquälerei und
Umweltverschmutzung.

Dear Sirs and Madames,
We
are an animal and environmental protection organization in Germany
and documented catastrophic housing conditions for six dolphins in
this hotel in June 2019.
This
is a criminal complaint against this hotel for animal cruelty and
pollution.

this basin immediately!

hotel guests are asked not to throw anything in the water.
Nevertheless
there is plastic garbage at the edge of the pool!
Dolphins
can die from ingesting plastic garbage!

The
dolphins look awful!
The
dolphins are hurt! The wounds are visible to everyone!
This
dolphin has a bent dorsal fin. The cause could be the constant
clinging to the animal by the participants!
Due
to the shallow depth of the pool, the dolphins can not dive deep.
They are at the waters surface most of the time. The risk of getting
sunburned is very high!

The
basin is only four meters deep at its lowest point. The bottom of the
pool is not visible due to poor water quality!

The
fresh water supply is a trickle!
The pool is totally
filthy!
The
dolphinarium seems to have a large algae problem which is exacerbated
by the dolphins faeces!
Obviously,
the fresh water inflow does not work. The basin is a dirty sewer!
The
6 dolphins produce about 100 kilograms of urine and faeces daily! The
faeces dilutes, but the pathogens remain in the water.
The
risk of disease transmission from the human participants to the
dolphins and vice versa is very high!
Faecal
and putrefactive bacteria can cause severe infections in humans!
While
hanging on, participants finger nails and jewellery injure the
dolphins and their sensitive skin. Pathogens that are in the water
can penetrate through the damaged skin!
The
eyes from the guestes are burning! Is that due to the faeces of the
dolphins?
The
algae is only removed at the edge of the Pool!
The
drainage is simple. A lock is opened and the water, contaminated with
feces, flows untreated through a small drain directly into the sea!
Scandalous!
This is nothing but pollution!
January
2018 - The basin floor was visible and the water quality seemed to be
better.
The
dolphins were not showing signs of injuries at this Stage!
June
2019 - The dolphins must swim in algae, bacteria and their own
faeces!

All
6 dolphins are male. This is not appropriate for a pod of dolphins!
It
is a hot 34°C. For the dolphins there is no possibility of
shade. Also the animals have absolutely nothing to play with!
Outside
of the programs the dolphins do not have toys.They cannot occupy
themselves with anything.They only get balls during the programs with
the participants.This is done to ensure that the dolphins look
forward to the programs!
The
dolphins are fed only if they perform the required commands!
After
every executed command the dolphins get fish as a reward!
The
dolphins are only fed dead fish which is regarded as carrion in the
wild. Dead fish lack essential liquid which can lead to
dehydration and the onset of serious diseases such as kidney Damage!
To
compensate they try to counteract dehydration by feeding the dolphins
ice Cubes.
Well
fed dolphins would not participate in this unnatural behavior!
The
dolphins have not been fed for 15 Hours!
They
must be kept hungry so that they will participate in the programs!
For
food they will do anything, even if it is not their natural behavior,
such as pushing or pulling people through the water or giving
out kisses!
In
the background is a ball in the water. The dolphins only receive toys
and food during the programs.
The
denial of food and opportunities to occupy themselves is nothing but
absolute cruelty to animals!

The
child is only 7 years old and is in the water without any
supervision!
The
operator and the guests are simply ignoring the fact that dolphins
are predators who are quite able to kill sharks!
Bottlenose
dolphins are highly social and intelligent animals. They usually live
together in much larger groups than they are in here.
The
captivity is psychologically and physically stressful for the
animals. Captivity and isolation can make dolphins aggressive and
depressed. They can develop behavioral problems and thus be dangerous
for humans!
For
example, if dolphins panic or feel unwell or threatened, they
can seriously injure a person!
Although
the dolphins are often sedated with psychotropic drugs, other
dolphinariums have documented several incidents were people have been
attacked resulting in broken ribs, scratches and bites!

Every
evening there is an hour long show for the hotel Guest.
Distance
to Dolphin Basin: 50 meters!
The
constant noise causes the dolphins stress and they need rest after
a long day of work, but no one is interested nor cares!
Even
once the show is over, the dolphins still have no peace!
Of
course the hotel guests can stay on their balconies day and night as
they please. Therefore the dolphins are never able to rest!

Sin
embargo hay plástico y basura por todo el borde la pileta!
Los
dilfines pueden morir por la ingesta de plástico y basura!

delfines se ven horrible!
Los
delfines están lastimados! Las heridas están visibles para todos!
Los
delfines tienen la aleta dorsal doblada. La causa puede ser la
constante subida de los participantes a los animales!
Debido
a la poca profundidad de la pileta, los delfines no pueden bucear
profundo. Están en la superficie del agua la mayoría del tiempo. El
riesgo de que corren de quemarse con el sol es muy alto!

La
cuenca es de solo 4 metros de profundo en su punto más bajo. El
fondo de la pileta no es visible debido a la pobre calidad del agua!

El
suministro de agua dulce es por goteo!
La
pileta es totalmente inmunda!
El
dolfinario parece tener un gran problema con algas que es exacerbado
por las heces de los delfines!
Obviamente
el agua fresca no funciona. La cuenca es una alcantarilla sucia!
Los
6 delfines producen cerca de 100 kilogramos de orina y heces por día!
Las se diluyen pero los patogenos quedan en el agua.
El
riesgo de transmisión de enfermedades de los participantes humanos a
los delfines y vive versa es muy alto!
Bacterias
fecales y putrefactas pueden causar infecciones severas en los seres
humanos!
Mientras
esperan, las uñas de los participantes y las joyas lastiman a los
delfines, ellos tienen una piel extremadamente sensible. Los
patogenos pueden penetrar en la piel dañada de los delfines!
Los
ojos de los turistas están en llamas esto se debe a los excrementos
de los delfines?
Las
algas son solo removidas al costado de la pileta!
Mel
drenaje es simple. Se abre una cerradura y el agua contaminada con
heces fluye por un pequeño drenaje directo al mar!
Escandalo
esto no es nada pero si contaminación!
Enero
2018 el piso de la cuenca estaba visible y la calidad del agua
parecía ser mejor.
Los
delfines no han mostrado heridas en este escenario!
Junio
2019 los delfines deben nadar entre bacterias algas y sus propias
heces!

Los
seis delfines son machos. Esto no es apropiado para un grupo de
delfines!
Esta
muy caliente 34 grados centígrados para los delfines no hay
posibilidad de tener sombra. También los animales no tienen
absolutamente nada para jugar!
Fuera
de los programas los delfines no tienen juguetes. No se pueden ocupar
de ellos mismos con nada, solo les dan pelotas durante los programas
con los participantes. Esto está hecho para que los delfines sigan
el programa!
Los
delfines son solo alimentados si hacen bien la performance!
Después
de cada mando ejecutado ellos reciben pescado como premio!
Los
delfines son solo alimentados con peces muertos que es considerado
carroña en la naturaleza. Los peces muertos carecen de un líquido
esencial que pueden conducir a la deshidratación y el inicio de
enfermedades serias Como problemas renales!
Para
compensar y contrarrestar la deshidratación los alimentan con cubos
de hielo!
Delfines
bien alimentados jamás participarán o tendrán estos
comportamientos antinatural!
Los
delfines no han sido alimentados por 15 horas!
Los
mantienen hambrientos así ellos hacen el trabajo que les
corresponde!
Por
comida ellos harán lo que sea, aunque ese no sea su comportamiento
natural, como empujar y levantar gente en la agua o también dar
besos!
En
el fondo hay una pelota en el agua. Los delfines solo reciben
juguetes y comida durante la performance.
La
negación de comida y las oportunidades de estar ocupados entre ellos
es Absolutamente cruel para estos animales!

El
Niño tiene solo 7 años y está en el agua sin supervisión!
El
operador y los huéspedes son simplemente unos ignorantes el hecho de
que los delfines sean prestadores que están preparados para matar
tiburones!
Los
delfines pico de botella son altamente sociables e inteligentes,
ellos usualmente viven juntos en grandes grupos no como los tienen
aquí.
El
cautiverio es físico y psicológicamente estresante para los
animales, el cautiverio y el aislamiento hacen que los delfines estén
depresivos y sean agresivos. Pueden desenvolver serios problemas en
su comportamiento hacia los seres humanos!
Por
ejemplo, si los delfines entran en pánico o no se sienten bien o se
sienten amenazados pueden lastimar a una persona seriamente!
A
pesar que los delfines están frecuentemente sedados con drogas
psicotropicas, otros delfinarios han documentados graves incidentes
donde las personas han sido atacadas, costillas quebradas, rasguños
y mordidas!

Todas
las tardes hay una hora larga de show para los huéspedes del hotel!
Distancia
de la cuenca a los delfines: 50 metros!
El
ruido constante le causa estress a los delfines y ellos necesitan
descansar después de un largo día de trabajo, pero eso a nadie le
importa!
Inclusive
cuando el show termina, los delfines no tienen paz!
Claro
que los huéspedes pueden estar día y noche en sus balcones como
ellos lo desean por este motivo los delfines nunca pueden descansar!

Wir
haben gestern und heute noch einmal alle Hotel-Vermittler, welche das
HYATT Ziva Hotel in Cancun anbieten oder über deren Seite es buchbar
ist, angeschrieben.
Wir
wiesen darauf hin, dass wir im Oktober eine Medien-Kampagne starten
werden und wir dabei auch erwähnen werden, welche Hotel-Vermittler
an ihren Angeboten festhalten.
TUI
ist einer der größten Anbieter bisher gewesen. TUI ist auch in
Österreich vertreten und hat auch Tochterfirmen wie L`TUR, welche
bisher auch dieses Hotel angeboten haben. Jürgen Ortmüller vom WDSF
schaltete sich auch in unserer Kampagne mit ein und er erhielt heute
Morgen die Zusage, dass TUI alle seine Angebote löschen wird, was
sehr erfreulich ist!
Auch
gewannen wir Skoosh, die uns heute schrieben, dass Sie ebenfalls
dieses Hotel nicht mehr anbieten werden!

- Es geht voran!
Hartnäckig
versuchen wir im Hintergrund schon seit über einem Jahr die
Hotel-Vermittler davon zu überzeugen, dass sie das HYATT-Hotel Ziva
aus ihren Programmen nehmen sollen, solange die Delfine dort in
Gefangenschaft leben müssen.
Hintergrund
ist natürlich, dass wenn HYATT schon Geld mit den Delfinen verdienen
will, wir es ihnen auf der anderen Seite wieder weg nehmen wollen.
Die Betreiber von Delfinarien verstehen eben nur die Sprache des
Geldes!
Einen
Image-Schaden, den die HYATT-Hotel-Kette mit seinen über 730 Hotels
weltweit insgesamt dadurch erleidet, haben sie jetzt schon zu
verzeichnen und der wird für die alle noch viel schlimmer werden, je
länger sie an dem Delfinarium festhalten!
Letztes
Jahr gab es weltweit noch annähernd 100 solcher Hotel-Vermittler,
welche dieses Hotel noch im Programm hatten. Dieses Jahr sind es
gerade mal noch etwa knapp 50! Wir haben auch diese erneut
kontaktiert und es tut sich weiterhin etwas.
Trip.com
schrieb uns, dass sie das Hotel direkt kontaktieren und sie um eine
Stellungnahme bitten werden. Das ist wichtig, damit das
Hotel-Managment sieht, dass wir versuchen, ihre wichtigen
„Kundenzulieferer“ abspenstig zu machen!
DER
Tour, einer der größten Reiseveranstalter in Deutschland und
Österreich schrieb uns heute, dass sie dieses Hotel nicht mehr
anbieten und es seit November 2018 nicht mehr auf deren Seite buchbar
war. Der noch vorhandene Link der Hotel-Beschreibung soll nun
vollständig aus dem Netz genommen werden.
Wir
danken an dieser Stelle allen Hotel-Vermittlern, die auf eigene
Umsätze verzichten und diese Tierquälerei nicht auch noch weiter
unterstützen möchten!
